Eric Thomas was once a 16 year old homeless, high school dropout on the mean streets of Detroit. At the age of 18, he met a minister that mentored him to become an outstanding role model instead of “another statistic.†He successfully completed the necessary requirements for his G.E.D., and since received his college degree where he founded the youth advocacy organization, "Break The Cycle."
Break The Cycle's goal is to eradicate mediocrity, despair, and average performance in the minds of young people between the ages of 10-29.
We personally testify that Eric is blessed with a gift to positively motivate youth to make a difference. (Our two teenage sons attended his workshops in Indiana, and they are a living testimony of his powerful ministry!).

Brown Sugar and Spice was founded by Jacqueline Galloway-Blake an educator on a mission to reveal to every child positive role models that look just like themselves.
The multicultural books for children reflect the cultural richness of the Asian, Native-American, Caribbean, African, Hispanic and African-American communities.
